We are getting ready to implement special trainings again which will help with review and new knowledge dispersion. We would like to continue with 2 times per year. Are there any suggestions for times that would work better for anyone? We want to implement testing for eikyu on up at special trainings as well - obviously there will be exceptions, but that way everyone can meet the higher ranks and get to know them better as well as maintain standards as we grow in this new decade. Please let me know about your suggestions and they can come from anyone at any rank. Thanks Leslie

March / October time frame.
I would tend to be more biased toward the COOLER months (Whatever, those really tend to be).

Was going to say the same thing - great minds, eh? My thinking is that November-January is pretty difficult due to holidays. June-August is just so miserably hot. Would be great to try and hit the few nice weather days in Houston - October and March/April seem to fit the bill. I would suggest trying to set the dates as far in advance as possible in order to maximize the opportunity for out of towners to attend. More time to plan, get flights, set expectations with spouses , etc.

Excellent ideas! The time frame does sound good with the cooler temps. Any other thoughts out there? Leslie

Okay, how does March sound, mind you can't be the week of the spring break, 15th, because Sigung will be back in idaho for the break. How does the end of the month sound? That would be the 27th and the 28th. And the topic would be focusing on the Tiger as it is the beginning of the year of the Tiger soon! Plus we would need tshirts, designs anyone? Thanks Leslie

Maybe with this much lead time I can persuade my wife to let me go... Been practicing. Need clean-up.
And, it's been like 20 years since those College Station Special Trainings with He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, and I STILL break out in a cold sweat at the mention of making T-shirts...

Set the date by the end of January and I'll make sure I can attend (barring any more world wide catastrophies). And I'll try to bring a few Mids and other students from the Academy.

Ouch. Airlines must be anticipating gas price increases. Flights are high (almost double what I normally pay) from the west coast even 2 months in advance.
