UnJoe (That is what my kidoes call him) asked me if WHLC has any training like what is in the video.

After seeing the video, I must admit, that it looks GREATLY like my home life, eh?  

Especially when the fellow is getting kicked in the buttie.

Sanchin as the first kata in uechi ryu is to develop your core muscle. It is a body toughening kata. The vases are used to develop your grip and it trains you to bring your shoulders down developing a strong structure.  As you get better you start adding stones to the vases for more weight to add difficulty.  You can use dumbells also.  Narahiro Sinjo(the Okinawan in the video) is the first Okinawan to take the kata championships in Japan in a quite while.
