There are a lot a good students out there that can't afford classes.
Do you think it is a good idea to teach without being paid.?

Depends on the instructors goals I guess.  If you wanted to make a commercial endeavor out of your knowledge then you would probably have to charge.  However, I believe that most people make exceptions for people who really want to learn but cannot afford to.  I personally think anyone who would turn away an earnest, devoted student who cannot afford to pay does not have the students best interests at heart anyway.  At the same time it is wrong for students to not give something in return if they are able, even if it is not money.  Even offering to do an hour of work of some sort per week, if that is all they could manage, would be the proper thing to do.  Besides, doesn't an instructor increasetheir own understanding by teaching?  I would never have a problem with not being paid for teaching.

Thank you for your insight on this subject.
I run a non-profit school in arlington, tx.
The students that i have,... do community service for their classes.

I have gotten great feedback from their school teachers, parents, and the community.

You could also contact an organization call Project Action, they provide scolarships to students who cant afford Martial Arts training.  At my current school we have a number of students on scholarships.
